U.S. Model 1873 Trapdoor Massachusetts Marked Rifle. Early gun in the 51,XXX range. Metal has mostly gray patina. Wood shows typical handling marks. This gun still has the high arch breech block. On top of the receiver is the Massachusetts marking.
