U.S. Model 1884 Springfield Trapdoor Carbine. Barrel has a smooth brown patina. Action works perfectly. Bore is for the most part bright and shiny; there is a ring in the bore about 8” from the muzzle. Wood is very good. Traces of the cartouches can be seen. Cleaning rod is in the butt. Nice gun!
