After 50 great years of gun collecting we are selling our collection. Although we mostly collected Winchester Lever actions this piece came along and it was so hard to find that we purchased it about 35 years ago. It is a P-14 .303 caliber Enfield Rifle made by Winchester for the British Government during the early years of WWI. Bore and Action are excellent as is the wood and bluing on this weapon serial number is 70,65X. The British Army did not like Foreign made weapons and would not allow Winchester to put their name on any of these weapons. They did allow the intial "W" to precede the serial and part numbers on it. This rilfe displays the quality of work that the Winchester factory put into all its products then. Here is a truly collectible Winchester Bolt Action Rifle that you could carefully target shoot or hunt with and not hurt its value in any way.
