Lockplate markings: "U.S. SPRINGFIELD" forward of eagle clutching arrows.Breechblock markings: "U.S." over "MODEL" over "1884".Sling ring and bar on left side opposite the lock.

Metal Condition: Good with mostly consistent patina
Wood Condition: Structurally sound. The finish has bubbled most likely due to heat and/or UV light exposure. The finish is solid and not flaking.
Bore Condition: Strong rifling with just a few spots of very light pitting.
