14-126 JOHNSON 1836 FLINTLOCK PISTOL
 
Model 1836 Flintlock Pistol by Robert Johnson made for the US Government.
Has iron mountings, back strap, butt cap, etc. Marked U.S. R. Johnson Middnconn dated 1839 on lock barrel has standard proof US Government markings BBL. This flintlock is in original condition with a deep blue brown patina on the lock, the barrel, trigger guard, back strap and butt cap are clean with only a little corrosion at the front of the barrel, has not been buffed or tampered with. The markings on the lock are nice and clear and there is almost no corrosion on the lock. Slight corrosion on the barrel at the end of the barrel; wood is very fine, clean with no significant dents, dings, age cracks etc. Stock is not missing any wood and has 2 original military inspectors cartouches. Overall fine condition. See Flaydermen 6A-30-034 page 331 ninth edition. (14-126)
