Description:
S#135455, 30 WCF 26 inch octagon barrel, very good bore with strong rifling and light erosion in the grooves. This 1898 manufactured rifle features the early widows peak hammer and a No 34 Winchester three leaf express rear sight. Rifle remains in fine condition with over 70% blue on barrel, mag tube, and receiver. Lever, hammer and trigger show perhaps 50% case colors on sides with bottom of lever and hammer thumbpiece silvered. Butplate shows traces of colors with some staining. Wood shows typical marks with a little oil added and has lightly scratched initials "SM" on right side of forend. A nice antique 1894. Antique.
