Description:
Serial # 340xx, circa 1889. Very high condition deluxe H/W with several special order features. One size LIGHTER (#2) 30" half oct 32-40 barrel with excellent bore, 97% blue, and ordered with "NO" sights. Receiver retains 97+% of vivid case colors with the greatest loss on the underside of the lever . Beautiful highly figured (xxx marked inside of lower tang) PG wood with minor handling marks, hard rubber insert at FE tip and grip, "H" checkering in excellent condition, and fitted with the very early style nickeled Swiss BP with widows peak upper tang and solidly repaired small crack at rear of upper tang. The rifle now wearing a period original Winchester mid-range tang sight and a Tasco 4X brass tube scope with dark patina and excellent optics. Excellent shooter as well!
