Serial Number: 40466T71 (The serial number has a "T" in it signifying that it is a genuine Medalist frame and not a Challenger "U" frame.)
Year of Manufacture: 1971 Listed on Section II, Page 18 of the BATF C&R list

Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “22 L.R. BROWNING PATENTS / MADE IN BELGIUM”. The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY / MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q.” The front strap is marked “40466T71”. The slide, frame and barrel are scroll engraved. There is a Belgian proof on the underside of the barrel. The floorplate of the magazine is marked “22 L.R. BROWNING”.
Barrel Length: 6 ¾” with full length ventilated rib
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated Partridge style blade. The rear sight is a square notch adjustable for windage and elevation.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The one piece grip is a large target grip with a thumb rest on the left side. There is checkering as well as a floral engraved pattern on the grips. There is a small Schnabel forend which also has a floral design on both sides. There are only faint handling marks. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is Bright and the rifling is Sharp. There is No erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. This pistol appears untouched. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. I have not fired this handgun. Although it does have a unique dry fire feature which allows you to get the feel of the trigger without damaging the face of the breach.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a black case with red felt interior. Inside the case is a small plastic grid which holds 60 .22 cartridges. There are three barrel weights and the adaptor as well as a folding tool. one key in wax paper under the cartridge grid. The interior of the box shows only light wear of the felt and rates in Fine condition. The exterior of the box has light storage wear and rates in Fine condition. There is a brass plate which has yet to be engraved on the lid of the box. The brass plate is in very good shape with no scratches.
