The buyer assumes the responsibility for transfer fees or background check fees that the receiving dealer will charge. It is also the buyer's responsibility to insure that the dealer will accept the firearm(s). We encourage that the buyer contact the dealer before we transfer the gun to them for pick-up to insure that there are no problems with your transfer. If the dealer refuses to accept delivery of your firearm, you will be responsible for shipping charges to recover the firearm and reship it to a dealer that is willing to receive it.

Overall these are very high quality rifles in fair-good condition. They all are shipped in a coating of Cosmoline (A Heavy Grease Applied for Long-Term Storage), they all have normal signs of military surplus usage dings and scratches throughout the stock bluing wear and light scratches on metal. Pictures shown are exemplary of the rifle that you will receive.

These rifles ship packaged in Cosomline and must be thoroughly cleaned before usage.
A quick tip, after receiving this rifle to remove the Cosmoline soak metal parts in mineral spirits until most of the cosmoline has dissolved. After doing so transfer to a container of HOT water, then allow metal to air dry.
Putting a thin film of standard gun oil over the metal surfaces of the firearm will help prevent future rusting.
Description: The Type 56 SKS featured numerous minor modifications, including lack of milling on the bolt carrier, partially or fully stamped (as opposed to milled) receivers, and differing types of thumb rest on the take down lever. The Chinese continually revised the SKS manufacturing process, so variation can be seen even between two examples from the same factory. Type 56 carbines with serial numbers below 9,000,000 have the Russian-style blade-type folding bayonet, while those 9,000,000 and higher have a "spike" type folding bayonet. Some early examples are known as "Sino-Soviet", meaning they were produced by China, but with cooperation from Russian "advisers" who helped regulate the factories and provided the design specifications.
