This is the second style plated magazine with the patent date of [Pat'd Sept. 9 1884 ] on the floor plate. THis magazine has the light raised "cone" above the retaining slot. The magazine body is in almost unused condition. The plating is fully intact with no loss. It is the correct seven round magazine for the Colt 1900 and the 1902 Sporting pistols It is not for the 1902 Military Model which uses a eight round magazine. This is also a rare magazine for these early Colt's. Only the early magazines were plated. It is very difficult to find these early magazines and to find one in unused condition is a real plus!
