Description:
This is a neat old gun that has retained a great deal of condition. Factory Letter in our posession indicates this 10ga 30" gun was shipped to Wm. Read and Sons in Boston at the end of 1894. Barrels lock up tight to the breech, bores are very good, with light scattered pitting, NO signs of honing/polishing. Wood finish, Damascus pattern and case colors are very evident, and are like new in protected areas. Wood is proud of the metal, crack-free and no signs of oil-soaking around the inletting. Mechanically strong action, springs and strikers. 14" pull from front trigger over the factory buttplate. Drops 2-1/8" and 3-1/2" at heel. 0.780" bores, choked 0.030/0.030" Gun weighs 9 pounds even. This is a beautifully original, un-messed-with gun. We would not hesitate to load with low pressure cartridges and shoot it, alot! Email or call for additional info.
