Description:
.60 caliber, 30 inch part round barrel, converted from flint, Birmingham proofs, Chief's head medalion at wrist, brass furniture, hog's head and hunting horn on lock and butt plate, makers name unreadable after conversion process, bow and arrow on trigger guard and side plate, German silver fore end cap.
Very seldom seen in half stock configuration, numbers on inside of trigger guard and on stock would suggest museum ownership (deaccession?), period of use-1790's thru ???
Smooth bore is dark with black powder oxidation, barrel is patina'd gray brown, stock fore arm has slivers missing worn smooth with use, righ side of stock has tack shanks, rectangle of wood replaced.
