H. LEMAN KENTUCKY STYLE PERCUSSION FULL STOCK TRADE RIFLE CA. 1845. .38 cal. octagon 36 ½” barrel. Still in use until the WWII era. From a West Virginia family. Lock stamped “LEMAN / LANCASTER, PA.” Fine condition for its long period of service. Has the original stock finish and a very nice bore. Even has some original barrel brown. Fine brass mounts and a few old coin silver homemade inlays along forend. Old repair at wrist. Brass lock retainer at rear of lock. Triggers in working order. Western frontier era classic with many carried during the Fur Trade by both trappers and Indians.
