Fabulous little Purdey 16 bore, 268XX range, features 28" barrels choked improved cylinder and improved modified (.008/.023). Original 2-3/4" chambers, 3-1/4 ton proof. Raised tapered flat top stippled rib. The action retains 98% rich vibrant case color hardening. Engraved in finely executed Purdey rose and scroll. All the Purdey refinements, self-opening, auto-ejectors, double triggers, auto-safe. Stock measures 1-1/2" comb, 2-3/8" heel, 15-1/8" over a 1" pigskin pad. Splinter forend, straight-hand stock of beautifully figured French walnut with lots of black smoke over an amber background. Wonderful condition, the 16 ga. considered by many to be the ultimate in terms of weight for gauge. Weighs just 6 lbs, 4 oz. Housed in lightweight canvas leather-cornered case. Delightful little Purdey!
