Description:
2nd pattern tropical helmet built from one piece of Olive Drab felt. The Interior is the same as the 1st pattern with the red lining. The tan leather sweat band is marked JHS on the exterior and 58-1941 on the interior side. The original nation emblem shield (eagle & Swastika) and the tri color shield are in place . The felt is in excellent condition. Approx 8" of the brim edging has given away exposing the metal brim band. (This is quite repairable. In addition 1/2 of the chin strap is missing. This piece remaining a very good display piece for the German or uniform collector.
