* * * SOLD ON HOLD PENDING FUNDS / Savage No. 4 Mk.1* Bolt Action Rifle, serial # 98 C 2756 matching, cal. 303 British, with a 25" barrel and a very good bore. The rifle retains its original military blued finish that's fading. This is a U.S. PROPERTY stamped Savage Rifle made for the Brits during WW II. The receiver has a flaming bomb proof, the stock behind trigger guard stamped "S" in circle, magazine is stamped boxed "S" on spine but not numbered to the gun, there's also a "S" stamped on for end behind front band. The stocks appear to have been refinished at some point and are in very good condition. Included with this rifle is a 1942 dated British sling. The overall condition as described is very good.
