Description:
This rifle was manufactured by Winchester under a contract from Enfield for the British Army and is known as a P1914 (Pattern 1914) in cal .303 during WWI. Note the British markings. When the US entered the war Winchester stopped making rifles for the British Army and began making rifles for the US known as the Model 1917 or Pattern 1917, in .30-06 cal. Barrel, Receiver and Bolt have matching serial numbers. The sight serial number does not match (serial number is 223825).
The rifle is in very good condition with very few marks or dings on the stock. Bore is very good. The rifle is collection grade.
