Description:
A fellow collector is thinning out his herd. This is one of them. More to follow. Here's your chance to add not-often-seen quality tools to your collection without breaking the bank.
A beautiful example of the early version with the sizing station. Marked with the usual Ideal New Haven address and "250 SAV". Retains 100% original nickle finish (looks new). This is the later model that had the "sliding latch" device to hold the rimless case.
The bullet seating die has that great old time blueing and is marked "143", which is correct for the 250 Savage (250-3000), stem marked "388" (spitzer). The scarce neck resizer is also blued also marked "143". There is no decapping tool. The instruction sheet is the late Lyman one-size-fits-all version. There is also an owner's tip sheet with "Michael Savage(!!)" and "April 16, 1946".
The box is solid, with tape reinforcements as shown. Top lid has two small tears, nothing serious. The end label is marked "250 Savage" and "deluxe/nickel" inked in.
All in all, an excellent set, with one of the best conditioned tools I have seen.
