Mauser (Berliner Lubbecker) Model K98, Caliber 8 mm, Serial Number 35XX.
Receiver is coded, S/237, dated 1938. Awesome, yes I said awesome. This gun was sent someplace and sat out the war. The finish is at least 95% plus or minus a percent or two. No pits, rust or flaking anywhere. The only finish loss to the bright blue is the sharp edges and some graying to the floor plate. Every part, too many to list that is supposed to be numbered is indeed numbered and matches the receiver. And all parts that are supposed to have a Waffenamt also has one, even down to the spring plate in the sight base. However, the bayonet mount does have a Waffenamt on the right side doesn't have the two digit serial number on the left side. It appears to have been armory removed.. This is the only flaw in an otherwise magnificent gun. . The receiver has 3 stick Eagle/26s on the right side. The left side a stick Eagle/Swastika. The solid hardwood stock is almost as minty as the gun. There is a surface cut in the right side that somehow appears intentional. The almost immaculate stock has three earlier Weimar Waffenamts, a drooping Eagle/H, a large drooping Eagle/WaA26 and a smaller drooping Eagle/26. The bore is mirror bright and razor sharp, with opossibly the minutest evidence of graying.. This is a 100% "RIGHT" gun. The gun comes with the original sling, ram rod, and muzzle/ sight cover. It just doesn't get much better than this.
