First I must say I am no expert on these muskets. I received this musket as payment for money owed. I am pricing it low to regain my funds.You will not find one listed at this price and in this condition. From the research I have done this is a Model 1861 Civil War Contract Rifle Musket, by William Muir & Co., Windsor Locks,CT,.58 cal.,40'' barrel, full-length walnut stock, Lockplate is dated 1864. Condition is excellent showing light handling marks and minor dings and scuffs to stock. The metal surface has a smooth gray finish with no pitting. Action is strong. The bore is clean and shows rifling.The percussion nipple looks new. I would have no problem shooting this musket and it would make a nice Civil War collectible as well. USPS money orders or certified bank check. Antique no FFL required. No sales to the state of California. Shipping is $45.00 due to size and weight. Fed Ex ground Tracking number provided.
