Browning designed, FN manufactured in Belgium, model 1903 pistol originally chambered for 9mm. These were basically the same pistol as the Colt 1903 but the Belgian pistol were built heavier to handle the 9mm. This is a very early example, serial number 5971 which was probably made will before 1910! It is covered with police/regiment markings (see photos). Many of these pistols were fitted with a chamber ring to convert the pistol to .380 when they were brought into the USA as was this one. The finishes are quite a bit stronger that what my lighting did to the pictures. The blue is thinning but it retains over 60% blue. The grips are good with a few "bug" holes. It comes with three orginal magazines and the original holster. Holster stamping shown in the last photo. Neat pistol..quite scarce.
