IMPERIAL JAPANESE ARMY OFFICER’S KYU-GUNTO SWORD AND SCABBARD CIRCA 1900-1920’S. 35” o/a with 29” nickel plated blade with wavy pattern temper line. Extra quality brass hilt with composition grip and triple grip wire. Noble family silver “Mon” (crest) on the back strap. Excellent condition with the blade very near mint with all the finish. Nickel plated steel scabbard with spots of surface rust along the lower section which will clean much better. High quality for this type sword.
