EARLY JAPANESE WAKAZASHI WITH HORIMONO DECORATED BLADE. Circa 1700’s or earlier. 21” blade with what appears to be a “Lance” and Kanji motto horimono. Bright original polish with very pronounced “wavy” temper line. 4” unsigned tang with old dark red calcified rust. Iron tsuba with “cherry blossom” cut out mon. Shin-gunto mounts.
