EXCEPTIONAL SPRINGFIELD U.S. MOD. 1922 M2 OR M-2 RIFLE DATED 5-42. .22 LR caliber 24” barrel stamped behind front sight “S A/ORDNANCE BOMB/5-42. Serial in the 19,xxx range correct for the 4th Model M2 and correct for the date. 4th type M2 bolt with correct “D” prefix assembly number. Stamped M2 on both the bolt and the bolt handle as well as inspected “NS”. Original receiver sight. All original and not a DCM rebuild. Retains 100% of the dark green parkerized finish. Stock with all the original arsenal oil finis and having a perfect “S.A.” rectangular Government Inspectors cartouche. Perfect encircled “P” proof stock behind the wrist. Mint bore and perfect working order. Original magazine. Looks near new and is the best M2 we have had.
