15-59 Brass Barrel English Flintlock Blunderbuss
15-59 A Very goodBrass Barrel Flintlock Blunderbuss w/Spring Bayonet, circa. 1760-1770, barrel octagon to round 12” brass Blunderbuss Barrel with flared canon muzzle, and marked with British proofs on barrel and maker’s name Parry on lock( name is worn and difficult to read). A spring loaded flip bayonet w/sliding release is mounted on the top of the barrel. Engraved brass furniture with Acorn on brass in front of trigger guard. Stock is solid w/normal scratches and dings from years of service. 28” Overall length. In good working order. These Blunderbuss or coach guns were generally used to guard the English stage coaches, but many saw military use in the royal navy. These date around the time of the American Revolution and may have seen use in the Revolutionary war on one side or the other. (15-59) $2,950.00
