Guess by now you seen all all the different winchester 1894s so many to choose from so many different variations , conditions and prices Theres alot of them out there then there are some special ones such as this. This is an original winchester rifle 30 WCF manufactured in 1897 so its an Antique. this has a 26 inch octogon barrel and it retains 98% thinning blue. the full length mag tube also has thinning blue abot 85% . The action is crisp and loads and ejects properly. Upon inspection of the bore its a 9.5% with 10 being the best its also bright and shiney with sharp lands and grooves. the ereceiver shows thining blue and is shiney with normal carry wear underneath. the wood shows very little varnish has worn off or been steellwooled off. I would say this has very good care through it 120 plus years. this sports a 3 leaf express sight with platnum inlay. the front sight is a standard winchester with ivory bead. the rear sight looks like a lyman tang sight. This aslo marked V. Kindler Saginaw .........he was a dry goods owner i saginaw carried winchesters. also nor this has smokeless barrel and so this is a transition rifle to smokless
serial # is 92,xxx circa 1892.............this is a drop dead gorgious rifle thats had excellent care.
