Description:
Serial #65L0376, .303 British, 25” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This Long Branch-made, 1944 dated rifle has retained about 92-95% of the original blue finish with some mild silvering along the exposed edges and high points, as well as a fair amount at the exposed portion of the muzzle. The matching numbered bolt has a bright body with blue still present along the handle and on the wide safety lug. A sheet metal CMk. 3 adjustable rear sight is fitted and there is a small unobtrusive import stamp on the left side of the receiver. The forend and handguards have a very good-fine military oil finish with scattered light handling marks and blemishes throughout, including a very minor with-the-grain crack on the right side at the wrist socket. A single unnumbered magazine is included which has most of the original Suncorite finish remaining. This is a handsome, Canadian-made rifle and rates fine plus condition overall. {Ref. “The Lee-Enfield A Century of Lee-Metford & Lee-Enfield Rifles & Carbines” by Ian Skennerton; 2007} FFL or C&R
