The pistol's serial number is 6315. the factory letter states that this Colt was shipped to Buffalo Wholesale Hardware Co. Buffalo New York, March 4 1931. This Colt is in all original unaltered condition. This pistol shows very little use or shooting. The lockup and timing is perfect. The hammer release is very crisp with no creep. The chambers and bore are bright and clean. The right hand grip has a small pressure dent on the bottom heel edge. Other than that the grips are intact and in fine condition. The bluing is bright and strong with no defects. The bluing would rate a 98% condition. The trigger and back strap have the original cross hatch pattern checkering. The target sights are intact and original to this pistol. Have an original Colt box that is not correct for this pistol. The top label notes that the pistol contained in that box is fitted with the new Colt Embedded Head Cylinder. This Colt has the old model cylinder. Otherwise the end labels are correct for this pistol. This model is one of Colt's finest target revolvers ever produced. It is still capable of superb match shooting!
