Mauser Banner Police P-08, Dated 1939, Caliber 9 mm, Serial Number 88X w, Inv 5032.
These un-coded wartime Mauser P-08s are really quite scarce. They are only found issued to Nazi police agencies. This particular gun is an outstanding example. It has at the very least 95+% original finish. The muzzle side plate and sharp edges show light holster wear. The slide has some light toning off the deep blue. The right side of the slide is marked Eagle/F, the lefty side Crown/U. The sear safety only found on Police pistols is still intact. There is no rust or pits anywhere. The grip straps show just merest evidence of graying. All numbers match including the walnut grips. The right grip panel has suffered the loss of two diamond points which is almost unnoticeable. The bore is downright gorgeous, mirror bright, and razor sharp without the appearance of any use. The gun is accompanied by one non matching TDK magazine. This is a really beautiful example of a Mauser Banner Police pistol underpriced. $2995.
