This company is a very well respected Italian gunmaker established in 1966 in the world famous Gardone Val Trompia, Italy's gunmaking capitol. They produce shotguns that run range in price to well over $100,000, and even their simple boxlocks are built to best gun standards. Tate Gunmakers of California had a custom version of the Poli "Lapis" model created for their importation that included highly figured Turkish walnut, full coverage deeply cut engraving on a tiny coin finished receiver scaled to the 28ga. platform, small beavertail forend, articulated front trigger, jeweled barrel flats, and wonderful light weight 29" long monobloc barrels made of special chrome-moly-nickel steel, allowing for a finished weight of 5lbs. 14oz. and balancing the gun dead on the hinge pin. This gun handles like a magic wand that floats in your hand for all day carrying afield and lightning quick gun mounts for hard flushing upland birds. The gun is as new, with only a few light handling marks on the butt stock, all other metal and wood 99.9% condition. The lever is in the far right position, everything locks up tight, and there is not even a primer mark on the standing breech face. NICE! The engraving is signed by Vasco Revera, a very noted Italian master engraver that engraves many fantastic BEST GUNS that are priced well above $100,000. We can alter the M/F chokes for your grouse or quail hunting within a few weeks of purchase, and we can bend the stock to your needs as well. What a great little gun at a great price.
