Description:
This is a J.P.Sauer & Sohn grade F-40 SxS in 16 gauge with 26" barrels. The silver colored receiver has phenominal engraving with flushing malards on the right side, flushing qual on the left side and a pointing setter on the under side with further embelishments on the trigger guard, tang and forearm release. There is light wear on the high spots like the tang of the wrist and the edges of the receiver yet it does not detract from the incredibley life like engraving. The 26" bluing of the barrels is rich in color with a silver bead front sight and has no wear marks with the bore bright and shiny and choked in IC and C. The honey colored English style butt stock has rich character with nice tiger stripping and very fine checkering on the wrist with a leather butt pad. There are some dents on the right side about 4" from the butt pad that do not break the finish yet can be felt and there are a few minor dents on the left side all indicate that this firearm while hunted with was well maintained. The splinter forearm has very fine checkering that is somewhat smooth from use, but otherwise shows no wear. The action and lock up is tight and the triggers are crisp.
