This a really rather beautiful CMP example of an early Government Arsenal rebuild. The gun appears to have retained about 85-90% of the original arsenal Parkerizing. It has thinned evenly over the years and has a very nice even look. The Barrel which gauges at the muzzle 2 with throat reading of 3+ is dated 11.51. Most of the parts are original Springfield. We have checked to make sure there are no parts not proper to Arsenal rebuild. The walnut stock is in super condition. No real chips, splits or dings. Matching nicely to add to it's exceptionally clean appearance. The pistol grip has the remnants of a P proof and an arsenal mark. The butt stock still retains the original rack number stenciled in white which adds a nice military touch. All parts are correct for the gun and it seems to function properly. The bore is super bright and razor sharp with no appearance of graying. The gun comes with original CMP Certificate of Authenticity, the barrel gauging tag, and the original CMP plastic carrying case. This gun should a tack driver on the range.
