Description:
This is a nice Rogers & Spencer Percussion Revolver . Manufactured in 1865. "Civil War Era". .44 caliber . Has a 7.5" barrel with an excellent bright bore! It is marked on the top strap: "ROGERS & SPENCER/ UTICA N-Y". Serial number is #362 and is found on barrel under loading lever, on loading lever, on frame , cylinder and both grip panels. Inspector's marks "H", "B" and a "*" are found on the revolver. Action is nice and tight and it indexes like it should. The cylinders are clean and the nipples are in excellent condition. Screw heads are very good. Metal is all grey to brown patina with a little original bluing. The grip panels are solid, showing small nicks and vintage repairs. Left grip panel has "Cartouche".
