Description:
This is a martially marked Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver. Has (2) cartouches. Letters "T" behind hammer on backstrap, and on cylinder. has an "H" on trigger guard. It is marked,"COLTS PATENT No1844/PATENTED SEPT 10th1850". The left side of frame is marked, "COLTS/PATENT". On top of barrel it reads,"-ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA."  All numbers match the serial #121844, except the wedge. Manufactured in 1863 during the CIVIL WAR! Metal finish is all brown patina.  Has approx. 60% of cylinder scene remaining. 7.5" barrel with a very strong bore, showing some fine pitting. Action is strong and it indexes and locks up tight.  The Walnut grips are solid and smooth and show a small chip out of left hand side, leading edge. The cartouche on left side is visible, but hard to read.  Right cartouche is same.
