Description:
Parker Trojan -- Serial number 167417 Manufactured 1914 -- 2 frame -- 12g. (.731 bores) -- 30" Barrels choked IM (.025) and XF (.039). -- Weight: 7 lbs. 8 oz. -- 14" LOP -- 1-5/8" and 2-7/8" drops. ---- This is how you like to find them. Very high metal condition on this trojan. All finishes are untouched and original. Photos speak for themselves. I would say 90-95% case color on frame. Some wear on the bottom, but even little at that. Water table is 100% and breech face retains almost all color as well. Barrel blue is great, 95% with some wear at the muzzles and some scratches in a few spots. Bores are excellent. No dents at all. There is the slightest hint of some super light frosting just in front of the chambers. Trigger guard and trigger Nitre Blue is almost fully worn, but there are traces of it at the front of the guard and in protected areas of the triggers. Wood wears its original finish and checkering is near new. Forend has some handling marks and a dent or two. The buttstock also had some various scratches and marks on it. There are some grain checking issues with the stock. There is a hairline check on the left side cheek panel behind the frame. There is a small check by guard tang on left side. And there is a grain check on each side of the butt in middle at buttplate. ALL of these checks are simply grain in the wood opening up from 100 years of climate changes. When I broke the gun down for cleaning, I inspected the stock closely in there areas and there is noting suggesting that they were caused by recoil or stress of any kind. The one in the cheek panel goes no deeper than the surface. The stock is COMPLETELY solid. The buttplate is original and both screws are still in time. The toe of the plate has a chip in it. But it does not extend to the wood. Screw slots on bottom of the frame are pretty good. Not perfect, but show evidence of distortion. Like I said, I broke the action down and cleaned it and inspected everything. It did need cleaning. Everything checks out mechanically and is good for many more years of service. Please look through the photos for many photos of the gun showing all aspects of condition. Must Ship to FFL or C&R.   Shhipping cost of $50 - Insured.  For additional photos, please contact me.
