Description:
This is an extremely high-condition Walther Olympia 1936 Schnellfeuer (Rapidfire) pistol! Single action with internal hammer. It features a 7.4 inch flat-sided barrel, a 6-shot magazine with synthetic wood-colored base, and the later version matte black slide. Grooved and tapped holes for weights. Left side frame markings include the Walther banner, "Waffenfabrik Walther Zella-Mehlis (Thür.)" above "Walther's Patent" and "Olympia Pistole". Right side reads "CAL.22 kurz". It is marked with the very late serial number 9444O. This is the latest serial number I've encountered. The "O" suffix is presumed to mean it was for the Olympic team. This particular gun obviously wasn't used as it remains in nearly AS NEW condition! As it is such a late gun, it's likely the arrival of WW2 figured in it remaining in such high, original condition. This gun cannot be improved upon!
