Description:
For sale is a Mauser Sporting rifle. Custom built from a Military VZ-24 action. It is chambered in 30.06 caliber. It is barreled with a 24" medium contour barrel. The action has had the charger guide removed and all military markings removed. The bolt has been fully polished out along with the extractor and follower. The bolt shroud has been customized to cleanly eliminate the military safety. It is fitted with a BOLD trigger that has a safety mounted to it. The safety lever and button on the trigger has also been modified for a clean look. The bolt shroud, release, floor plate and grip cap are case colored which gives the rifle a great unique look. The floor plate is fitted with an extended release button. The action is drilled and tapped for a 1pc. Leupold base with Medium height rings. The Scope mounted on the rifle is an Intesity Optics 3-10x44. Scope and mounting are included with the rifle. The stock is crafted from nicely figured American walnut. It features a right hand cheek piece. A blued steel buttplate that is checkered and has a spur (Winchester style). It has an Ebony grip cap and 20 lpi checkering. It is fitted with quick detachable sling swivel mounts that are flush mounted in the stock. The sling pushes in and turns to install. a Leather sling and swivels are also included with the rifle. The sling is in one of the photos below from one of the 4 deer I have taken with this rifle. The rifle does have a couple of spots in the bluing on the right side of the receiver ring. It is from a couple of very deep military stampings that had to be weld filled and the spots of weld showed up in the bluing. The rifle is basically in the condition it was in when I finished it. It has very few handling marks on it. Shipping cost of $40.00 - Insured. FFL Required.
