Description:
This Smith & Wesson Model 29-3 commemorates the life of famed gun writer and authentic cowboy Elmer Keith, 1899-1984. Chambered in one of Elmer's favorite calibers, the .44 Magnum, it features elaborate gold writings along the 4" barrel, frame and cylinder--- stunning against the blued finish! Frame left-side is inscribed '1 of 2500 '. Condition: appears unfired; metal is excellent, all bluing and gold inscriptions are complete, faint cylinder turn ring; smooth wood grips are excellent, no cracks or chips. Wooden presentation box is in good condition with some light scratches; blue velvet liner is excellent, no holes or tears; lock functions and skeleton key is included.
