Description:
S# 23783, 30 W.C.F., 20 inch barrel, bright very good bore with a hint of frosting in the grooves. This 1897 manufactured saddle ring carbine was fitted long ago with a scope. Two holes were added to left side of receiver and a dovetail was added to barrel. This was probably mounted in a sidle No 22 mount. Otherwise this carbine remains in excellent condition with 80% blue on barrel, mag tube and receiver. Lever and hammer retain 75% nice case colors on left side, with strong traces on right side. Wood has a splinter missing on left side behind receiver and wears a little added oil over typical dings and marks. Antique
