Description:
Serial #31695, 7.63mm Para. (.30 Luger), 4 1/2” barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a barely noticeable ring about 1/4” back from the muzzle. This is a “GERMANY” marked pistol that has all matching numbers (including the grips) with the metal retaining 95% plus of the original blue finish with some mild silvering along the projecting edges, along the backstrap, and on the bearing surfaces of the toggle. Traces of the original straw color remain on the take-down lever, trigger, safety, magazine release, and ejector with the balance of the metal having a bright gray patina. The checkered walnut grips are likewise in fine shape with some minor flattening of the points and a very narrow sliver missing from underneath the safety lever. The front sight is a period sporting bead replacement and there is a very small and unobtrusive import mark on the underside of the barrel. The pistol is housed in a period commercial dark brown leather flap holster with hinged folding metal clasp that has a worn hole at the tip and four parallel slashes cut into the back and flap to act as belt loops. This is a handsome pistol in fine overall condition with a great period holster and would make a wonderful addition to a collection of high condition Lugers. FFL or C&R
