Description:
This is a fairly rare revolver. Only 6000 manufactured during the CIVIL WAR. Often referred to the "OLD ARMY MODEL". All numbers match the serial number #6060. Manf. in 1862. Has an 8" octagon barrel, with a very good bore, showing some fine pitting. Top strap reads: "PATENTED DEC. 17, 1861/MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS' ,ILION, N.Y.". Martial inspectors marks "CR", on cylinder "P" found on frame and triier guard. Has faint "CARTOUCHE" on left grip panel. Metal finish is all grey to brown patina. Trigger guard is un-cleaned brass patina. The wood grips are very nice and show very few light handling marks. FREE SHIPPING! to lower 48 states.
