Description:
SOLD...Antique Smith & Wesson .32 caliber DA 4th model. Here is a nice Antique Smith & Wesson DA 4th model in very good condition. Has the standard 3 1/2" barrel S/N 109358 and is well in the antique S/N range. All matching numbers of course. The barrel has about 70% original nickel finish. The cylinder has about 80% and the frame has about 80% also. The balance of the metal is pretty smooth with just a very small area of pin prick roughness on the barrel right in front of the cylinder from black powder flash. A small spot on the end of the barrel also. Nothing deep or detracting from the gun at all. AS you can see there are small flakes of finish missing here and there but just shows honest wear and usage. The trigger guard blueing has faded to a dark blue brown patina. Still a very nice looking ole Smith pocket revolver. The markings are all excellent. The mechanics are excellent in DA and SA as well. Locks up very crisp and tight like a new gun. The grips are excellent with NO cracks or chips and a perfect factory fit and still shows sharp checkering with very little wear. The bore shows very good rifling but does have some pitting as can be expected from black powder use. The chambers are nice and clean with no pitting. The screw heads are clean and sharp and not all burred up. Nothing special here but a nice looking little Smith that shows some finish loss but still shows lots of finish remaining. The gun shows no abuse. Just a very tight little gun that would still shoot with proper black powder loads of course. $15 insured shipping. Call 765-728-8049 with any questions or more photos.
