Merkel 447SL Sidelock Ejector, 12 bore, 3" chambers, ejectors, 28" barrels choked .009 IC and .018 Mod., 6 lbs. 13 oz., 14 1/2" LOP over Merkel butt plate, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 1/2" DAH, neutral cast, double triggers, straight grip, splinter fore end, silver finish, disc set strikers, cocking indicators, spectacular small acanthus style scroll engraving, breech end barrel engraving, machined and very slightly concave rib, highly figured Luxus Grade European walnut. This is one of the finest executed Merkel shotguns I've seen and one of the few highly engraved models without game scenes. Remains in as new, unfired condition with original maker's labeled case. These have been discontinued now for more than a decade.
