Great little pair of pocket pistols with tiny dovetailed front sights. They have front action locks with rollers, bridled frizzens, and goosneck hammers. Lockplates are straight with stepped tails and short teats with sliding safeties. French walnut single-piece stocks with raised teardrop side panels and single wedges without escutcheons. Stocks have smooth bag shaped grips with tapered steel guards that are nicely engraved with beautiful pineapple finials. They have their original ebony and brass ramrods. Accompanied by a walnut and brass case. Initials on case match those on rectangular thumbplates on pistol stocks. Case also contains a small dirk with 4 1/8\" double-edged blade and threaded, removeable pommel cap. These pistols are in extremely fine condition. Barrels retain most of their original Damascus pattern. Lockplates retain dark case colors. Stocks are sound with minor nicks and scratches, and retain most of their hand rubbed oil finish. One hammer is not solid in safety notch, otherwise the mechanics are fine. Bores are shiny Case has a couple of grain checks in lid and a crack across bottom, otherwise the wood is sound. Interior shows moderate to heavy fading with light wear. Tools and implements are also fine with all of bone and ivory handles free of cracks. Dagger blade retains about 60% original blue with about 70% original gold.
