Description:
Colt Python 4" .357 Magnum. In 2009 the gun was shipped back to the Colt for factory action tuning at a cost of $160 + $30 shipping (see photo of invoice). And yes, the factory tune is awesome! At first glance the gun looks, still has the deep dark high luster blue finish and the wood laminate grips are as new looking. However with closer examination one can see that it has been shot, although just a few times and the bore and chambers still look new. Also, going over the metal in more detail you will find a light cylinder ring, sratches on the side and front edge of the cylinder, the right side of the barrel at the muzzle is a little rough, like it picked up a little rust. Also, there are a couple of small scratches on the left side of top strap. These issues can be seen in the photos, especially if you are on Cabela's Gun Library for the photos can be supersized. Includes factory box, manual and invoice from Colt for an action tune job (see photo).
