Description:

Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are sure proud to offer this very fine example of Colt's model of 1873, the single action army. Made in the year of our Lord 1895, this gun is built on the highly desirable black powder frame. Colt was smart to offer popular rifle cartridges in their six guns, allowing cowboys to carry one ammo for 2 guns. The 32-20 chambering and 7 1/2 inch barrel really push up the value of this wheel gun. The .32 is the smallest centerfire found in the 1873. Best of all, it is in amazing condition for being 120 years old. The stampings are very good, and the prancing Colt shows about the full circle around it. The bore is good, with considerable shine, strong rifling, and very little pitting. That is especially notewothy coming from the black powder era. Don't let the mottled color outside the barrel fool you, as it is smooth to the touch. The action is crisp, with all hammer positions working as designed. The grips, numbered to the gun, are only slightly worn. The inspector's mark "O" is in the hammer slot, and all numbers match. These early Colts continue to skyrocket in value, and are a sound investment. If you have been looking for the right first genny gun with the added clout of a black powder frame, desirable caliber and long barrel, then look no further.
