Richards Hammer Sidelock Single, 16 bore, 2 1/2" chambers, 26" damascus barrel reproved in 2000 for 900 BAR nitro, choked .040 Extra, Extra Full, 4 lbs. 8 oz., 13 9/16" LOP over a checkered butt, 1 1/2 DAC, 1 3/4" DAH, neutral cast, straight grip, splinter forend with horn tip, single trigger, extractor, short sight flat rib engraved "W. Richards, 44 Fishergate, Preston", rounded action with island sidelock and exposed hammer with fine acanthus scroll engraving with lock also having a hunting scene of two dogs and flushing game birds. Cased in a vintage leather trunk case with maker's label and replacement straps. Very good condition with good bores and tight action, wood has numerous marks from honest use over the years, bore at .681 with reproof marks showing 17.3 which is dead on .681, min. barrel wall thickness .030.
