Description:
An unusual blunderbuss with a solid brass heavy barrel and brass lock-plate with an iron faced frizzen. Looks like this hard wood stock gun is a museum copy and not a shooting example as the breech plug may not be strong enough for loading shot and firing.The mainspring is weak but the lock works. The barrel length is about 17 1/2" long and the overall length is about 33 1/2" long. The European hardwood stock has a club butt where the gun was fired when boarding a ship and was held under the arm while the other hand held a rope!Has a brass ram-rod with a ram's head figure. This gun is a wall hanger /display piece, but has much character. Along the barrel are numerous 18th century Royal Spanish proofs. We don’t have asite .I prefer money orders or a check.
