Description:
This is a very nice example of Paul Mauser's , ZICK-ZACK ("ZIG-ZAG"), "Break-Open" large caliber revolver. 10.6mm Caliber. Very few of these were manufactured up to 1887. Has a 5.5" barrel with an excellent bore. Action is crisp and works like it should. This is the later variant with a special safety on left, behind cylinder. The top barrel flat is marked:" WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF/NECKER". Serial number #2057 and all matching on frame, latch and cylinder. The frame retains approx. 98% fire blue finish. The cylinder is faded patina with traces of bluing. The grip panels are of a hard rubber or gutta percha , with very nice floral leaf, design. They are in excellent condition.
