Description:
Serial #5993t, 9mm Para., 4” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a “42” coded pistol with 1939 chamber date and matching numbers that retains 97-98% of the original blue finish which has some mild gray fading on the sides of the muzzle and along the projecting edges and bearing surfaces of the toggle and bolt. There is some further mild fading on the sideplate and edges of the frame while the checkered, unnumbered wooden grips are both in excellent shape with merely some minor flattening of the points on either side and some scattered small areas of wear. The pistol comes with a single aluminum base magazine that is numbered to a different gun. This is an excellent example of an early war Mauser Luger and would make a great addition to any collection.
